Former Gogglebox personality Scarlett Moffatt is to co-host a series for Channel 4 with Alan Carr.

Scarlett Moffatt and Alan Carr are to join forces co-hosting a brand new Channel 4 entertainment show. The as yet untitled pilot will be recorded later this year for an as yet un-set broadcast date.

The nation’s new sweetheart Scarlett, who found fame on Channel 4’s Gogglebox will also take on the role made famous by Davina McCall and front a new daytime series of the 90’s cult classic Streetmate for the network. Shy and retiring singletons will get a helping hand as Scarlett scours streets and pounds pavements to find the loveless a date in towns and cities across the UK. Streetmate returned for a one off special during Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign in October.

Scarlett has shot to fame after being crowned Queen of the Jungle on ITV’s stars in the jungle reality series I’m A Celebrity, the down to earth personality has since gone on to continue working with Ant and Dec on their weekend ratings banker Saturday Night Takeaway, also for ITV as well as being a roving backstage reporter for the National Television Awards alongside Dermot O’Leary.
