Greg Davies and Alex Horne return to Dave in Taskmaster next month with UKTV today revealing some of the stars set to appear alongside the pair.
The fourth series of Taskmaster on Dave will welcome a fresh line-up of comedians, Lolly Adefope, Hugh Dennis, Noel Fielding, Mel Giedroyc and Joe Lycett. The new series of the hit show, recently nominated for the Broadcast Awards, Broadcasting Press Guild Awards, Chortle Awards and RTS Programme Awards, will also see BAFTA-nominated Greg Davies return as Taskmaster, with Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Alex Horne as his loyal assistant.
For those unfamiliar with the format Greg, with the help of Alex, set out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians. Creativity, conniving, competitiveness and rivalry is always encouraged, dodgy tactics rewarded and bribes accepted in what has become UKTV’s most dogged, hard-fought and ridiculous comedy show. Taskmaster started out as a critically acclaimed live show, which ran at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010 and 2011.
Previous series stars who showed creativity, cunning and genius in a collection of stupefying tasks saw the first outing won by Josh Widdicombe, while Katherine Ryan took home the series two crown, and Rob Beckett laughed his way to glory in series three.
Taskmaster returns for its fourth series on Tuesday 25th April at 9pm on Dave, with the first episode available on UKTV Play from Tuesday 18th April. The fifth series of the show will air in the Autumn. All series of Taskmaster are available to watch, for free at UKTV Play.
