UKTV this week announced it will, as well as broadcasting the programme, will be co-producing the twelve part paranormal show along with MY Entertainment and Back2Back Productions. The production will form part of the schedules on UKTV’s free-to-air entertainment channel Really.

The hour long episodes were devised by Zak Bagans, the creator, executive producer and host of stateside series Ghost Adventures and will feature an expert team of international investigators, Chris Fleming, Sandy Landar and Barri Ghai. Families in homes they believe are haunted present a case file of paranormal activities to the experts who research historical evidence. Using years of expertise and highly specialised technical equipment, the team sets to work to find answers to the unexplained, and free homeowners from unwelcome spirits or learn how to coexist with them.

The new series was ordered by Emma Sparks, UKTV’s acquisitions and co-production manager, and Really general manager Luke Hales. The Executive Producers are Zak Bagans, David Notman-Watt for Back2Back and Michael Yudin for MY Entertainment.

The series will air on Really early 2018, home to Ghost Adventures in the UK and paranormal event #Frightday. Last year UKTV produced ghost hunting series Celebrity Haunted Hotel hosted by Christine Lampard with co-hosts Matt Richardson and Jamie East. The broadcast network is also home of long running ghost investigation series Most Haunted, fronted by Yvette Fielding.
