Next year could see the controversial reality television show Big Brother end.
Next year could be the final year of Big Brother claims its host Davina McCall. The long-time host of the controversial series feels the show is running out of time and that Channel Four will axe it next year when its contract with producers Edenmol runs out. The last series of the show wasn’t a hit with viewers although predictably the attention-seeking antics of the housemates were still endlessly covered by the tabloid press and ‘celebrity’ magazines. However, ratings wise it was something of a flop for Channel Four.
Critics have been hoping for the axe to fall on the series for some time but it looks likely the show will still be around for some time yet. Contestants for this year’s series are still being selected although there are cut backs as this time around they’ll be no live streaming on E4 – in order to save on costs.
