Channel 4 are on the search for a terminally ill patient to donate their body so it can be mummified for a show. The proposed programme will explore the mysteries around the ancient Egyptian embalming.
The shows idea comes from television production company Fulcrum TV and was discovered when an undercover journalist posed as a possible volunteer. The show has not been commissioned yet, but Channel 4 have said they would make the show if a donor is found.
Adverts have reportedly been placed asking for people, who are dying to get in touch.
Viewpoint: There are certain boundaries not just on television, but in life itself. If this programme was to be commissioned, i hope it would be handled in a sensitive, educational and experimental show, mind you they said the same with Big Brother and look how that has panned out!
