Cheryl Cole has reportedly landed a deal to join the forthcoming US version of The X Factor. Cole would be amongst the panel of judges on the American version of the hit ITV series – a role she is already more than familiar with thanks to her UK judging position. According to The Sun producers of the American X Factor have been impressed by Cole and have offered her a one-year deal worth £3 million!
“She has really charmed the American execs. They love her good looks and the way she wears her heart on her sleeve. And of course her chemistry with Simon [Cowell] played a huge part in it. They are great together.” – A “source’ in The Sun
Meanwhile it has also been reported that Universal, who Cole recently signed a record contract with, are keen to release her second album Messy Little Raindrops in America to coincide with her X Factor role over there.
“When Cheryl goes to America she will also launch her music career there too. It’s the next part of her big plan, she’s an incredibly hard worker and she will definitely get a boost by appearing on The X Factor, which is set to be a sure-fire hit.” – A “source” in The Daily Mail
As yet there has been no official announcement about how will be joining Simon Cowell for The X Factor in America though he has promised “some surprises”. Some reports have claimed that Sharon Osbourne, former judge on the British series, will be amongst the judges.
