Former Light Lunch presenter Sue Perkins has been honoured by the 21st Women in Film and TV Awards.

The event at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel saw Perkins win the BBC News and Factual Award for her work on The Great British Bake Off which aired earlier this year.

Sue was just one of several stars honoured as one of 2011’s most inspiring women by the Women in Film and TV Awards ceremony – with other winners including Acorn Antiques creator and comedy writer Victoria Wood who was bestowed the EON Productions Lifetime Achievement Award.

Actress and comedian Miranda Hart hosted the event with an audience of over 1,000 influential industry guests. Last years winners included Alex Crawford, Sheila Hancock and Jane Goldman.
