The writer of ITV’s comedy/drama Married, Single, Other which concluded last night, has revealed a decision is due within the next few weeks on a second season. The writer, Peter Souter, has also thanked fans for their support of the series on Twitter and Facebook.
ITV is due to decide the fate of its new comedy/drama series Married, Single, Other within the next few weeks according to the show’s writer, Peter Souter. The writer revealed on the drama’s Facebook page that the cast and crew would find out soon if ITV were going to order a second series or not.
“For those that missed it – we won’t know for a couple of weeks if there’ll be a second series but we all hope so and your support has played a big part in us maybe getting another chance. Fingers crossed, once again all you guys on Facebook and Twitter have been amazingly supportive.” – Peter Souter posting on Facebook.
The series starred Dean Lennox-Kelly, Ralf Little and Lucy Davis and opened with an impressive 6 million viewers but subsquent weeks saw ratings drop by two million as it faced tough competition on the BBC in the form of Five Days and New Tricks. The series was tipped as the new Cold Feet but those of you who emailed ATV News over the series were not impressed by it. However, ATV News believes the series does deserve a second run especially as ITV doesn’t excatly have an overflow of new but returning drama’s lately, does it?
