E4 has commissioned a second series of its reality television show Made In Chelsea.
The scripted reality series is along the same lines as MTV’s Geordie Shore and ITV2’s The Only Way is Essex. The E4 series follows the loves and dramas of a group of adults, including Ollie Locke who recently came out as bisexual, and has proved to be a hit for the digital station. According to reports Made in Chelsea has attracted an average of 700,000 viewers per episode for E4 and based on these figures E4 has handed the show a new series. The first series will draw to a close on Monday evening.
Scripted reality programmes have proved to be a hit with viewers in the UK with The Only Way is Essex picking up a BAFTA this year. As Geordie Shore continues to perform well for MTV reports are circulating a spin-off, Mersey Shore, is planned by the broadcaster.
