EyeSpy: Remembering Peter Falk

Peter Falk, best known as scruffy Lieutenant Columbo in the television and film crime saga, died last week aged 83.

He had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for several years, and died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday. He has however left a lasting body of film and television work, with Columbo being his most celebrated role – a character which won the actor four Emmy.

Originally broadcast on NBC Between 1971 and 1977, Columbo returned in 1989, this time produced as films for ABC, the final edition was aired in 2003.
