Fox has ordered a new pilot for a series based on the hit BBC comedy Outnumbered. The award-winning and critically acclaimed BBC series has so far produced three seasons as well as a Christmas Special. It has proved a ratings hit for BBC One and stars Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner and revolves around three children who run rings around their parents and partly uses improvisation.

The pilot for Fox will be produced by 20th Century Fox in association with Chernin Entertainment and Hat Trick Productions and will go into production within the next few months – outside of the normal pilot season. Barbara Wallace and Thomas R Wolfe will write the pilot and act as executive producers.
