A report claims that radio presenter and actress JoAnne Good is in the running to replace Christine Bleakley on The One Show. JoAnne currently presents a popular programme for BBC London [pictured left] and its thought the success of her radio show is prompting bosses to consider her for the presenting job on The One Show. As well as her radio presenting duties Good is also an actress and will probably be best remembered for her role of Carol Sands in Crossroads – appearing in the early 1980s in the Motel based soap [pictured below, right]. The actresses other roles have included The Bill, Doctors, Casualty, Silent Witness, Shine On Harvey Moon and a cameo role in the first Sex and the City movie.
“Im really flattered that The One Show should consider me. Although I have to say, my late Night radio show takes priority. My endeavour is to make it the late night show in London. Mind you….I easily have enough energy for both!” – JoAnne speaking to Gay Times.
The actress is a long-term support of gay rights which has won her a legion of fans. Good is one of several presenters now being tipped by the press as being in the running for The One Show. Others hotly tipped by the press include Fern Britton, Lorraine Kelly and Myleene Klass, who previously presented the series alongside Adrian Chiles before the arrival of Christine Bleakley.
