Brian Dowling could be dropped as presenter of Big Brother ahead of the new summer series.
The Sun claims Dowling could be replaced by Bit On The Side host Emma Willis. The pair have been the faces of Big Brother since it was picked up by Channel 5 in 2011.
A source speaking to the paper said that they see Emma as the ‘true successor’ of Davina McCall, who was the reality show’s original presenter from 2000 – 2010.
“Brian has been a great host but Emma is seen by channel chiefs as a true successor to Davina. They’re talking to her now about taking over the role from the summer”. -Source speaking to The Sun
The report adds that he is contracted to the programme for two years and may have to be compensated for any termination or change in duties.
The new summer series of Big Brother returns to Channel 5 later this year.
