ITV buys London headquarters for £56 million

Kent House, London Studios towerThe former home of ITV franchise LWT has been bought by ITV for £56 million.

The London Studios on London’s South Bank is home to some of ITV’s main shows including This Morning, Loose Women and The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

The company has purchased the 2.5 acre site for £56million from Coal Pension Properties Ltd whose agent on the sale was LaSalle Investment Management. Should there be any substantial redevelopment of the site in the next 10 years, Coal Pension Properties may receive additional payments up to a maximum of £6.5m.

The 22-storey building was first opened in 1972 for London Weekend Television and has a number of television studios along with offices of which ITV currently operate from.
