Jessica de Gouw Lands Dracula Role

SKY LivingAustralian Jessica de Gouw has landed the female lead in the forthcoming NBC and Sky Living drama Dracula.

Deadline reports that the Australian actress will appear in the new ten-part series based on Bram Stoker’s famous vampire. Dracula is a co-production between NBC and British broadcaster Sky Living and will star Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in the title role. The series is described as “Dangerous Liaisons meets The Tudors”; Meyers played Henry VIII in Showtime’s historical drama The Tudors.

De Gouw will play the character of Mina Murray; a medical student engaged to Jonathan Harker. The actress recently cropped up in The CW’s hit new drama series Arrow, starring Stephen Amell, as ‘The Huntress’. The character is widely tipped to make a return to the drama.
