The veteran sci-fi series will return from its extended hiatus with the remaining episodes of its seventh season during the Easter Weekend. The date for Doctor Who’s BBC America return is the same for its UK return once again ensuring the gap between broadcasts is a matter of hours instead of days or weeks.
The remaining season seven episodes will see lead stars Jenna Louise Coleman and Matt Smith joined by confirmed guest stars such as Dame Diana Rigg, her daughter Rachael Stirling, Ashley Walters, David Warner, Liam Cunningham, Dougray Scott and Jessica Raine. The characters of Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny (Catrin Stewart) and Strax (Dan Starkey) are also set to appear in the remaining episodes.
Confirmed writers include Steven Moffat, Neil Cross, Mark Gatiss, Stephen Thompson and Neil Gaiman will be penning his Rsecond episode following his hugely successful episode The Doctor’s Wife. The Cybermen are confirmed as returning, for Neil Gaiman’s episode, while the Ice Warriors and Zygons are rumoured to feature in the episodes.
