The BBC has released a new publicity photo for Doctor Who featuring Matt Smith and Jenna Louise Coleman.
The photo seems to be from the same batch taken last year featuring the two actors. The release of the photo comes in the week when the corporation confirmed that that series seven of Doctor Who will resume broadcasting on BBC One from Saturday 30th March; Easter weekend. The Easter launch for Doctor Who is a now a tradition dating back to the show’s revival in 2005. BBC America, and Space in Canada, have confirmed they will also resume broadcasting the veteran sci-fi series on 30th March.
The remaining season seven episodes will feature guest stars such as Dame Diana Rigg, her daughter Rachael Stirling, Ashley Walters, David Warner, Liam Cunningham, Dougray Scott and Jessica Raine. The characters of Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny (Catrin Stewart) and Strax (Dan Starkey) are also set to appear in the remaining episodes.
Confirmed writers include Steven Moffat, Neil Cross, Mark Gatiss, Stephen Thompson and Neil Gaiman will be penning his second episode following his hugely successful episode The Doctor’s Wife. The Cybermen are confirmed as returning, for Neil Gaiman’s episode, while the Ice Warriors and Zygons are rumoured to feature in the episodes.
