BBC’s controller of Drama Ben Stephenson and BBC One controller Danny Cohen have commissioned the new drama for Saturday evenings. Provisionally titled Atlantis the drama 13 part drama is from Merlin producers Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy and created by Howard Overman; creator of Misfits and BBC Four’s adaptation of Dirk Gently.

The drama regularly attracted audiences of over 6 million viewers in its tough Saturday evening slot often airing against the X Factor.

Atlantis is slated to air on BBC One in the Autumn.
