The ABC sitcom will move to Fridays from 29th March with back-to-back episodes. The move isn’t likely to go down well with fans of the sitcom especially as the Friday evening slot is widely considered to be the “grave-yard” slot for television and there are numerous casualties to prove that.
The GLAAD nominated comedy is widely seen as a “bubble show” as its ratings performance means its future could go either way; cancellation or renewal. The move to Friday evenings will not have an impact on Last Man Standing or Malibu Country as both will have concluded their seasons by then ABC reports.
On Tuesday evenings ABC will air Celebrity Wife Swap and at the end of March Dancing with the Stars will return.
