CBSSarah Michelle Gellar looks set to head back to television once more as she lands a role in CBS‘s new comedy pilot which will also star Robin Williams.

TV Line report that the actress has signed on to star in Crazy Ones; a single camera pilot revolving around Simon Roberts (Williams) and his daughter Sydney Roberts (SMG) who run an advertising agency together.

Crazy Ones will be Gellar’s first leading role on television since the demise of her CW drama series Ringer. The drama was cancelled after just one series because of low ratings although Ringer did launch with promising ratings they quickly dropped away.

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s most notable television role was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer which ran for seven seasons. The actress also appeared in a string of Hollywood movies such as Scream 2, Scooby Doo, The Grudge and Cruel Intentions. The actress also appeared in daytime soap opera All My Children for two years in the mid 1990s.
