Entertainment Weekly report that in its first day on-sale the second season box-set sold nearly 250,000 units alone making it the biggest first-day number for a HBO home release. Digital downloads have also down well with HBO reporting sales around 360,000 mark which is up a staggering 112% on the first season. The second season box-set contains all 10 episodes as well as deleted scenes, commentaries on the episodes and behind-the-scenes features.
UK fans have to wait a little longer to get their hands on season two on DVD; it is released here on 4th March. Meanwhile a new trailer for Game of Thrones’ forthcoming third season has been released and this time it actually does feature footage from the show!
