NBC-mediumNBC has swung its axe and more of the broadcaster’s comedies are the victims with 1600 Penn, Go On and Whitney all falling.

The demise of so many of NBC’s comedies is a little surprising; the broadcaster certainly hasn’t held back in swinging the axe and culling the weak. While Parks and Recreation and Community are luckily enough to have been given new seasons their fellow comedies haven’t been so lucky.

NBC has axed Whitney, Guys with Kids, Up All Night, Go On and 1600 Penn. With the end of The Office and 30 Rock this season as well that means NBC will have a big comedy hole to fill next season.
