Warren in HollyoaksJamie Lomas, best known for his long running role in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, is to join BBC One’s flagship serial EastEnders.

The actor will play “sexy and seductive” new arrival Jake Stone who shows up in Walford determined to turn his life around following a spell of bad luck. A recovering alcoholic, Jake’s biggest flaw is that he is unable to resist temptation.

I’m over the moon to be joining the cast of EastEnders. I have admired the show for many years and I can’t wait to start working with such a strong cast of actors. Jake Stone is a great character to play and I’m really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into the role. – Jamie Lomas

Little is known about Jake as he prefers to keep his secrets to himself, however with his good looks and charming personality he is sure to create a stir when he arrives in Walford.

Lomas appeared as notorious bad boy Warren Fox in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks from 2006 until 2009, before later reprising the role between 2010 and 2011. Storylines included drug dealing, murder and returning from the dead.

The arrival of Jake Stone is part of a big Summer and Autumn for EastEnders with other new faces set to arrive in Walford over the coming months.

We’re delighted to welcome Jamie to the world of Walford. I have no doubt he’ll make a big impact on screen as Jake Stone. The show’s about to enter a really exciting period which Jamie will be a huge part of, with a great storyline allowing him to truly shine. – Lorraine Newman, Executive Producer

Jamie Lomas will start filming for EastEnders this month and will appear on screen from August.
