Freema AgyemanSky Living is set to welcome a raft of well-known faces to the channel this autumn including Suranne Jones, Anna Friel, Russell Tovey, Sophie Rundle and Freema Agyeman as part of a new season of drama pilots.

The five hour long dramas have been written by some of Britain’s best known and critically-acclaimed screenwriters, the new season Drama Matters, ‘is a celebration of diverse, bold and compelling characters each with their own story to tell’.

This distinctive collection of original films will sit at the heart of the channel’s 2013 autumn programming schedule. – Sky

Former Coronation Street actress Suranne Jones, Anna Friel who made her name on Brookside, former Holby City regular Russell Tovey, Titanic the series‘ Sophie Rundle and Freema Agyeman who found early fame in Crossroads (pictured) are amongst the names announced taking part in the series today. Earlier this year former Corrie stars Katherine Kelly and Anne Reid had been announced as starring in the strand as well as former Emmerdale actor James Thornton.
