It’s main stars though were Lesley Sharp and Brendan Coyle – both stars of highly rated ITV dramas Scott & Bailey and Downton Abbey respectively. A total of 16 episodes of Starlings were made across its two seasons.

The second series aired over July and August on Sky One. Ratings for the second series were down considerably on the first which may be a factor in its demise.
