Series one of HBO’s Looking is to air on Sky Atlantic in the UK from 2014. The series follows a group of gay men in San Francisco.
The series which has already been compared to Queer as Folk and a ‘gay version’ of Sex And The City is to debut in the USA from early January.
The drama stars Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez, and Murray Bartlett with guest roles featuring actors Russell Tovey and Scott Bakula.
The latest drama from HBO revolves around three friends in San Francisco who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men the broadcaster notes. However it isn’t all pretty pictures and smart speeches, HBO dramas are renowned for their grit and Looking will be no different as the series aims to once more breaking new ground with frank and, at times, an outrageous depiction of gay life in America.
Sky Atlantic are yet to set an air date for Looking, but note it will air in early 2014.
