No it isn’t April the 1st. There is now a Coronation Street Caravan and actress Michelle Collins – Stella in the popular ITV saga – has been to check it out.
Collins popped along to the Caravan & Motorhome Show to launch the world’s first Corrie Van – a bespoke caravan that has undergone a makeover inspired by the cobbles of Coronation Street.
The Corrie Van, featuring a pub inspired by Weatherfield’s Rovers Return, is fitted with authentic fittings including pulling pints of the locals favourite ale, Newton Ridley. Collins, a caravan enthusiast herself, seemed pleased with the Rovers Return theme of the caravan.
The famous yellow and blue Yourk stone of “The Rectory”, former home of street favourites Jack and Vera Duckworth also features on the Corrie Van’s exterior.
I am greatly looking forward to hitting the road in a motorhome this year, touring Italy with The Caravan Club. – Michelle Collins
The Caravan & Motorhome Show is being staged from January 23rd – 26th at Manchester’s Event City, and offers a huge choice of the latest models of touring caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes, showcased by the region’s premier dealerships and featuring the products of over 200 different companies.
The show will feature its biggest ever selection of accessories and caravan-related products and visitors can stock up on all the essentials for their holidays, whether caravanning, camping or just touring the UK.
The four-day event features a brand new show attraction – Great Days Out – showcasing some of the UK’s leading tourist attractions.
For once in my career, darlings, I’m absolutely speechless. I can’t find any words to describe the Corrie Caravan, which might be wise. – TV critic Queenie
