Kaiser Chief and The Voice coach, Ricky Wilson, has spoken about his bandmates view of his latest TV role and what its like being part of the BBC One talent show.
Speaking to ITV’s Lorraine yesterday he admitted that not all of his bandmates are fans of his new role.
Some of them love it, some of them don’t like it so much but I’m seeing two of them straight after this… – he told Lorraine Kelly on his Kaiser Chief bandmates’ view of The Voice
And on his ‘new’ band, Ricky said the judges have his back on the show:
I cling onto the other coaches so much, they’re my new band and now I’ve got a team I’ve got an even bigger band!
He insisted the judges don’t take any disagreements out of the chairs:
It’s not like when we break for lunch it’s all slamming doors and throwing stuff at each other!
On his own journey into music, Ricky revealed he would have taken an opportunity like a reality show if it was an option “If there was a shortcut, I probably would have taken it” and opened up about tensions running high on the show:
I got rid of someone [shown in Saturday’s show]… I was distraught when I got back to the hotel room. I held it together on set.
Lorraine, weekdays at 8.30am on ITV. The Voice airs Saturday on BBC One
