Actress Patsy Kensit is to bow out of BBC One medical-drama Holby City after four years. Kensit is the third actress this year to announce their departure from the drama with Phoebe Thomas, who plays Maria Kendrall, and Rebecca Grant, who plays Daisha, also leaving Holby City this year.
Patsy Kensit has decided to quit BBC One medical drama Holby City after four years. The actress plays Nurse Faye Byrne in the drama series and is currently involved in a love triangle between her husband Joseph [Luke Roberts] and Doctor Linden Cullen [Duncan Pow]. Faye’s romance with Joseph hasn’t been a smooth path with a previous love triangle involving the duo and scheming Jac Naylor [Rosie Marcel]. There was also doubt over whether Faye murdered an ex-husband and was later under suspicion for the death of her son, Archie. All in all it’s been an eventful four years for Kensit on the medical drama.
The actress has decided to leave the medical drama to concentrate on her marriage and will film her final scenes in September but will remain on-screen until the end of the year. Details of her exit storyline are obviously being kept under wraps but it’s been revealed Faye will not be killed off. Kensit joined Holby City fresh from a three year stint in Emmerdale where she played bitchy, devious and scheming Sadie King.
It was recently announced that actresses Rebecca Grant and Phoebe Thomas, who play Daisha and Maria respectively, will leave Holby City later this year.
