Sharon Osbourne is reportedly in talks to join the juding panel of ITV’s hit series Britain’s Got Talent as a replacement for the departing Piers Morgan.
Sharon Osbourne could be the replacement for Piers Morgan on the next series of Britain’s Got Talent – that’s according to the News of the World. Piers Morgan recently confirmed his departure from the hit ITV series due to his work commitments in America – launching a chat-show on CNN. According to the Sunday tabloid Osbourne is in talks to replace Morgan on the Judges Panel.
“This is a big move for Sharon because things are going so well for her in America but she really wants to do it. Simon has always loved Sharon and they have remained very close despite her leaving The X Factor. She has proved she is popular on the US version of BGT – and he promised her when an opening came up here she’d be first in line. He is keen to make sure he doesn’t repeat the embarrassment of when Kelly Brook flopped on the panel. Sharon is tried and tested.” – A source quoted in the News of the World
Sharon Osbourne was part of the judges panel for the first four seasons of The X Factor. However, after the addition of Dannii Minogue to the panel for the fourth series – and a high profile feud between the Australian singer and Osbourne – she opted not to return for the fifth season of The X Factor and was replaced by Cheryl Cole.
