The business tycoon posted on Twitter that the popular BBC One series will return for its seventh series on next month. Last year’s run was delayed slightly because of the General Election and Lord Sugar’s role in the Labour Government of the time. The BBC did not want to be seen be breaking impartiality rules in the run up to the election and so pushed back The Apprentice.
The seventh series will once again see Lord Sugar flanked by Nick Hewer and Karren Brady as the show’s contestants battle it out – and stab each other in the back – to win the show.
Lord Sugar revealed the series will return on Tuesday 10th May at 9pm followed by a second instalment on Wednesday 11th May with subsequent episodes airing in a Wednesday evening slot.
The UK format originally launched on BBC Two in 2005.
