Weeds actress Mary-Louise Parker, who plays Nancy in the hit Showtime drama, has revealed she is missing former co-star Elizabeth Perkins who quit the drama after five years playing pushy Celia.
Actress Mary-Louise Parker has revealed that she missed her former co-star Elizabeth Perkins while filming the sixth season of Weeds. Parker plays cannabis dealer Nancy in the hit Showtime series while Perkins played the pushy and boozy Celia. However, after five seasons on Weeds Perkins decided to quit the drama.
“It’s really sad — really sad. I just can’t think of a single negative thing to say about Elizabeth Perkins. I’m sure there are many because she’s a human being, but I worked with her for [five] years and she was a wonderful person in the morning and she was a wonderful person when you worked an 18-hour day. She’s giving, she’s sweet, she’s hilarious — she’s freakishly wonderful,” Mary-Louise Parker quoted on Entertainment Weekly
Weeds is due to return to Showtime for its sixth season in August and actress Mary-Louise Parker recently confirmed she’d be ready to play Nancy for another season if the drama was re-commissioned.
