Pick of the Plots: Friday March 17th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Friday.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Leanne and Nick clash over her plans to allow Steve access to Oli. Gail offers Nick some advice that doesn’t favour Leanne, meanwhile Steve follows Leanne when she goes to register Oli’s birth and asks to be named. Later, Michelle drips poison in Nick’s ear about Leanne before – to Robert’s annoyance – inviting him back to the salon flat. As Leanne looks for Nick, hoping to make up after their row, Michelle leans in and kisses Nick. Will he respond?

When Faye’s tattoo becomes inflamed Seb suggests she should see a doctor. Anna fumes, especially as Faye admits Seb supplied her with fake ID. Izzy later finds an upset Faye and marches her off to A&E to get the tattoo seen to where Faye comes face to face with her past.

Elsewhere, Daniel suggests he and Sinead make a fresh start down south; David and Maria agree to wind up Gail; Nathan continues to prove a bad influence on Bethany.

Coronation Street, Friday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Lauren is keen to unite the Brannings and encourages Abi to host a dinner with Max. However, when Max is cagey about his job, Lauren gets suspicious. Later, Lauren decides to visit Max at work but will her endeavour prove anything?  

Bex returns to school but things soon become too much causing her to return home. A father-daughter chat prompts her to give it another go but she soon wishes she hadn’t when Madison and Alexandra overhear her talking about them.

At the Vic Johnny comes up with a new way to save money while Whitney tries to talk Mick out of doing a dodgy deal for cheap booze. Later, the Carters prepare for St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Elsewhere, Michelle goes to see the doctor; Kathy advises Tina to get professional help for Sylvie; and Denise is asked to attend a meeting at the Minute Mart HQ on Monday.

EastEnders, Friday at 8pm and 9pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Chas is not impressed to find the pub decked out in green and Faith manning the bar upon her return home. However, she later has other things on her mind when she senses something is up with Robert and finds out about Aaron’s drug-taking.

Meanwhile Robert rues his moves on Rebecca the previous evening and begs her not to tell Aaron.

When Carly rescues a hen party hosted by Bernice, her efforts see her offered a job overseas. She declines, but is keen to tell Marlon all about it. Elsewhere, Zak and Lisa are happy to be back together.

Emmerdale, Friday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Esther confronts Kim who spins a yarn that Esther thought she saw Grace at the party, telling her that Grace has escaped from prison and is on the hunt for Esther. Kim panics when a newly-released Grace shows up at the Osbornes but Liam reassures her he has plans for Grace. Meanwhile, Maxine tries to talk to Adam about Darcy and later gives him an ultimatum.

Freddie encourages Ellie to open up but she doesn’t want to. Liam objects to Ellie and Nancy’s gossiping in the Magic Bean. When he confronts them, Freddie jumps in to defend the ladies, but thinks Liam raped Ellie. Later, Freddie figures out that Nick was actually the culprit and accuses him of rape in front of everyone.

Hollyoaks, Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo
