Pick of the Plots: Wednesday April 12th
SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Wednesday.
Despite Tim’s concerns it’s business as usual for Sally as she heads to the Town Hall with Rosie and Sophie for the LGBTQI event. Fearful that someone is planning an attack on his wife, Tim follows. As Sally gives her speech, Tim notices a woman slip away from the crowd on her phone. Convinced she’s Sally’s stalker, Tim grabs the phone and stamps on it. As a fracas ensues the police are called. Has Tim made a booboo and can Sally continue to mask her fears?
Michelle arrives home and apologises to Robert for the way she treated him before she left. As Johnny and Jenny meet with Michelle to talk through their wedding plans Johnny’s not his usual self and Michelle’s worried. Riled by Michelle’s comments about second thoughts, Jenny dispenses with her wedding planning services, leaving Michelle at a loss since she has no pub to fall back on. Robert forms a plan.
Elsewhere, David discovers that his old client, Mrs Moss, has left him something in her will; Toyah pays Ken a visit and does her best to convince him of Peter’s innocence.
Coronation Street, Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.
Faith and Rishi have a drink together at the Woolpack and all goes well until they head to the farm. Rishi moves in for a kiss but soon leaves when Faith tells him about her double mastectomy.
Ross realises he has an opportunity to extort some money from Robert and holds him to ransom.
Elsewhere, Adam supports Victoria.
Emmerdale, Wednesday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
Grace is throwing all of Liam’s belongings into bin bags. Adam is touched by her emotion when she gets a reminder of Esther, and he urges Grace to fight for her. However, Esther won’t change her mind.
Joel warns Bart to stay clear of Warren. Meanwhile, it’s all hands on deck at the McQueen’s in preparation for Carmina’s christening, but Cleo is uncomfortable with Bart’s return. Later, after Bart tries to persuade her to join him for one last hit, Cleo tells her family everything about the drugs. Myra disowns Bart and calls the police. Bart bumps into Warren just as the police catch up with him and chooses to get arrested rather than face Warren’s wrath. However, Warren offers to stump up Bart’s bail – he wants to punish him in his own way.
Elsewhere, Nancy tells Darren about Kyle, but lies that Kyle is happily married; Kyle later gets caught up in Nancy’s lie when he joins the Osbornes for dinner while Nancy’s surprised when Kyle confides to her that he’s gay. Scott’s efforts to locate his biological mum lead to a meeting with a woman called Greta, however he’s upset to learn that his biological mum is dead.
Hollyoaks, Wednesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
Daniel, Jimmi and Al and Sid arrive at the destination for their team bonding course where they are greeted by a man dressed as a bear. Skip Stone reveals that he will be running an experimental course on them. They’re informed that they will be experiencing a Native American Sweat Lodge which they must build themselves. Sid is nominated as the leader while Al heads off to collect wood.
As Daniel and Sid talk, Daniel reveals his insecurities, despite Sid’s assumption that he has it easy, women flocking around him. They are interrupted by an excited Al, who has cut down a tree. Sid feels like he is losing control. Daniel thanks Jimmi for forgiving him about Cherry. Jimmi says that anger is corrosive, and best left behind. Their newfound affability irritates Al, who is still struggling to move on from his fathers death. Al decides to build something better than a sweat lodge, but when Skip returns he doesn’t like it. He uses his wiles to make Sid decide they need to do it properly. Sid takes charge. Finally they get the correct structure made, and celebrate. Their fun is punctured, however, when they ask to be taken to the pub…
Elsewhere, Emma and Zara attend a conference together although have some trouble reaching their destination. Zara denies that she is controlling. Their day together softens their relationship.
