Gary Lucy is reprising his role of Luke Morgan in Hollyoaks.

“Producers have some massive storylines planned for Gary. He will be at the centre of the action. They know how talented he is and also how popular he is with viewers,” The Daily Star Sunday quotes a source as saying.

Lucy previously played the troubled character in the Channel 4 soap opera between 1999-2002, and is best remembered for a hard-hitting male rape storyline.

The actor has already begun filming with the Chester-based saga, according to the Daily Star Sunday who add that he’s been given an 18 month contract. A spokesperson for the show has confirmed the return without revealing any details.

“He’ll be back for at least 18 months it will be possible for him to have some really meaty storylines,” the Star’s source continued

Lucy has been a regular on Television screens since his original stint in the Oaks having had regular roles in Footballers’ Wives, The Bill and EastEnders.

Hollyoaks is produced by Lime Pictures.
