Lauren heads to work as normal but when Luke tasks her with the job of serving the eviction notices, she storms out. Josh witnesses the exchange and is torn on whose side to take.
Meanwhile, Mick demands the money the Carters coughed up for the delapidations bill back from Willmott-Brown and threatens court action. Luke’s arrival at the café angers Kathy, who later confronts Fi about her father’s past.
Elsewhere, Abi defends her dad; Phil gives Vincent a hard time.

Lily is helping out at Nightingale’s when Diane unknowingly nearly catches Lily about to cut herself but luckily Lily is able to hide. Meanwhile, Prince helps Tony at The Loft before asking for his permission to marry Lily.
Elsewhere, Ellie makes Holly realise that she might be wrong about Dirk; James gives Sami a job but Sami keeps pushing to spend more time with James as well as pursuing a romance with Ellie.

Al is awoken by Eve brandishing tea. She tells him that she wants to go home today and arrange to see her own doctor; if she has dementia she needs to start treatment. Al is shocked at his mother naming the condition so readily, struggling to come to terms with it himself.
Reluctantly he drives her home and tells her how unfair it is that this is happening to her. He would prefer her to live closer to him but she won’t leave her home or friends. Eve has a nap and when she awakes finds Al has created various memory aides; labelled drawers, phone reminders, a contact list with photos. He also pledges to call her at eight every evening. Eve is touched.
