Pick of the Plots: Monday December 10th

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Sinead has revealed the truth to Daniel who is furious with Steff, but Sinead tells him about Steff’s bleak situation. At the hospital, Sinead is informed that her cancer has spread and that she must undergo chemo as soon as. Beth looks into a specialist cancer clinic in Germany but it’s expensive, and she ponders breaking the law to pay for it, first being tempted by the factory safe and then suggesting to Chesney that he steal the money from prima doner.

An apologetic Sinead attends chemo and tells Daniel that Ken was secretly paying for her complementary treatment.

Meanwhile, an overworked Brian is found by Liam after collapsing at work. Phil helps Brian to his feet but taunts him along the way. Cathy is later horrified to hear from Maria what happened but Brian plays it down.

Elsewhere, Jenny is relieved to observe Liz meeting up with Mike and not Johnny, however, she’s feeling mischievous. When Liz blows Eileen out to go on a date with Mike at the bistro, Jenny points Eileen in their direction. Toyah is furious to learn of Nick’s plans to move into the flat, and after they’re found canoodling on the sofa, she announces that Imran is moving in too.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Linda prepares for The Vic’s Grotto and as Stuart revels in wearing Mick’s Santa cozzy, Whitney tells Linda that Ollie is missing Mick leaving her feeling guilty. Things get worse for Linda when Tina and Shirley arrive and reveal that Mick refused to see them today. Alone, Shirley warns Linda to get what she needs by the end of the week otherwise they will do it her way. Desperate to get a confession from Stuart, Linda sets her plan into motion, but when they share a kiss, she’s disgusted with herself and flees the room.

Meanwhile, Alfie is determined to make Christmas at the Slaters perfect but as he delegates various duties to everyone, Jean warns him they can’t live like this for long. Later, Alfie comes up with an idea to solve the overcrowding problem at no.31.  

Elsewhere, Ian is pleased for Jean after she beats Honey and Kim to get the solo for the choir’s Christmas concert; Keanu probes Louise about her relationship with Keegan as he gives her another driving lesson; and Tiffany reluctantly agrees to do another job for Evie.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Daz is riddled with guilt as Dan and Kerry try to assure Amelia that she will be okay.

Later, feeling the pressure, Daz looks into booking flights out of the country.

SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Mac gets Alfie on board in convincing Cindy to admit herself into a private clinic. Mac tells Cindy that they’ll pay for the clinic by re-mortgaging her house. She signs some papers under Mac’s supervision, unaware that the papers actually accord him control of the house. Romeo agrees to keep quiet about the switching of Cindy’s medication for Juliet’s sake.

Meanwhile, Prince has an ultrasound appointment today, but he lies to Lily and tells her it’s his mum’s court hearing. Lily wants to go to Goldie’s hearing to support Prince, but finds out from the court that there’s no hearing scheduled. At the hospital, a doctor tells Prince that they will have to remove one of his testicles.

Elsewhere Liam tells Lisa to pick one of his dad’s contacts to make a deal with, but is later furious to discover that she has bought crates of dodgy vodka instead of drugs, and is stashing them at the loft.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Zara apologises to Izzie for snapping at her – she wants them to have more fun and has bought a ballet exercise video. Later, Zara attempts a complicated position and falls over – Izzie snaps a photo and finally smiles. But is she really coming round?

Meanwhile, Emma is amused to see Ayesha and Karen supporting Valerie by wearing beige, despite not really understanding why. Daniel teases Karen about introducing uniforms for the reception staff.

Everyone is excited about the imminent table tennis semi-final – Valerie and Ayesha are the favourites but Valerie has lost her mojo. Later, the competition gets off to a bad start for the girls. Ayesha has an idea and drags Valerie off…
