Pick of the Plots: Monday 8th July

The latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, and Hollyoaks.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Audrey is still frosty with Gail after she abandoned her in the hospital and Nick tells her to stay away after David did nothing to help him. Later, Sarah is concerned when there is no sign of Gail.

Meanwhile, Michelle, Alya and Ryan set up the buffet for the fundraiser, however when there are twice as many guests as expected, the women are horrified. In a panic, Michelle calls Robert and begs him to deliver more food. About to leave for Vicky’s, Robert’s torn.

Elsewhere Marley confides in Paul that he gave Sean a smack in the face by way of revenge. Paul’s furious when Billy reports Marley to the police.  

Also, Ryan and Alya play along to Michelle’s efforts of trying to set them up; Steve surreptitiously takes a booking for a unicorn party and asks Adam not to tell Tracy he has got his taxi licence back; Kirk returns to the street.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Kush and Martin continue to snipe at each other and as things come to a head, Shirley suggests they settle things in a boxing ring. As everyone on the market makes a make-shift ring, Martin and Kush prepare to knock seven bells out of each other. However, Kush spots some boys stealing Martin’s money belt and chases after them, leading to him and Martin deciding to set aside their differences. Kat and Stacey remain at logger heads, however. 

Meanwhile, Habiba meets a potential partner and Adam admits that seeing her with another man made him feel jealous. A cash-strapped Jack accepts Adam’s offer on the flat.

Also, Callum feigns excitement when Whitney confirms she has booked the wedding venue. Gray, Chantelle and Mick gear up to run the Walford 10k. Mick reveals his plan to Linda – raise money for a private assessment for Ollie but he doesn’t get the reaction he hoped for.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

A knowing Jacob lures Leyla and David to the café and baits them with a message to their fake account, forcing David to confess to being behind it. Jacob feels betrayed but when Eric steps in to help diffuse things, he grows breathless leaving them panicked.

Meanwhile, Kerry convinces Amy to have a girlie afternoon with her and Tracy, but Amy and Tracy spend most of the time making barbed comments to one another about Nate.

Elsewhere, Robert tries to convince Diane not to leave with Victoria.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Mercedes wakes up at The Loft after a night of passion with Liam. Sylver thinks her change in mood is down to drugs, his assumption leads to a further argument between the pair. Mercedes and Liam decide to begin an affair. 

Meanwhile, Ste calls Sadie and tells her that Harry is dying in an attempt to get her to meet them. Sadie soon realises it’s all a set up. Ste urges her to give him an explanation. Liam encounters Sadie at the Tea House and orders her to leave. As Sadie makes an hasty exit, she bumps into James to whom she confesses that someone paid her to keep quiet. Later, James tells Ste and Harry that Liam Donavan is responsible for framing Harry.

Elsewhere, Tom tells Prince, Peri and Yazz about his new business idea, a summer camp for children. 

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.
