Pick of the Plots: Friday, 4th July

Justin is trying to get across the rift between Remi and Kirby. He clarifies with Remi where he stands on the money front, but Remi affirms – he’s not pulling his investment, he’s only pulling out as producer.

Sonny tags in, to reason with Kirby who argues that Remi’s never had to worry about money – he won’t understand her perspective. Sonny encourages her to give him a shot – Remi’s smart and sensitive, and if you give him a chance, he might be able to see things from her point of view.

Sonny pulls a bait-and-switch with Kirby’s dinner plans, and she connects with Remi over dinner. Remi makes his position clear: Kirby is not ‘spending’ his money. Remi is spending his own money – on something he believes in. And in the case of her producer, it’s her call – so does she still want him as producer?

Theo officially asks Bree if he can move in, and although she’s apprehensive on where he stands with his aunt and uncle, the offer stands -the room is his, if he wants it. When Bree goes to the Diner to pick up Theo’s order, Leah pulls her aside. Leah sternly insists that Theo’s home is with her and Justin, and Bree shouldn’t be getting involved.

But Bree tells her the hard truth – Theo has asked to move in with Bree, permanently. Justin tries to calm Leah down, then heads up to Bree’s. He confirms with Theo that him moving in is truly what he wants, and Justin agrees to help move his stuff, adding that Theo still has a job, when he’s ready. Leah catches Justin in the act of moving Theo’s stuff across, but Justin stands his ground.

He respects Theo’s choice. She also wants to know what he saw – has Lacey also moved into Bree’s place? Justin is fed up with Leah putting all the blame on Lacey – Theo’s not a helpless victim in all this. It’s not all Lacey’s fault, and they need to let Theo stand on his own two feet. When Leah rocks up at Bree’s – and now Theo’s – place, she makes a peace offering – will he come over for dinner? Theo agrees, on the condition Leah also invites Lacey.

After Sonny also secures himself a permanent bedroom at Bree’s place, he and Bree are both invited to join Kirby and Remi for a celebratory drink – the dream team is back on. She has asked him to stay as her producer. Sonny’s proud of his involvement in the peacekeeping but Remi calls him out – now he needs to sort out his own life, and call Dana. But a fleeting encounter only proves that Dana is far from ready to sit down and have a conversation with Sonny, and she shuts him out again.
