A new study has revealed the most popular tracks with Spotify users in romance-related playlists. The research, conducted by expert casino analyst SlotsCalendar, related to romance and Valentine’s Day. More than 157,000 songs were found in total and the most added tunes proportion of all playlists. Additional information on the number of streams was calculated, along with the estimated revenue from Spotify (£0.003 earned per stream).

The song topped both the US and UK charts, spending six weeks at number one in the UK and five weeks in the US in 2017. With over 3.2 billion Spotify streams, it has earned Sheeran approximately £9.8 million in royalties.
Next is From The Start by Laufey, appearing in 7.12% of playlists. The upbeat tune, which went viral on TikTok in 2023, remains popular and has been streamed over 616 million times on Spotify, earning Laufey around £1.8 million in royalties. Rounding out the top 10 is Steve Lacy’s Dark Red. The track, featured in 6.99% of playlists, has amassed over 1.6 billion streams on Spotify, further cementing its status as a TikTok favourite.
