Eden and Cash can’t keep their hands off each other, enjoying being back together at long last. When John explains that Eden’s new houseguest was running amok at Salt and spending all of Remi’s money, the penny drops for Eden – that sounds like Sonny. When they do catch up with him, Eden’s stoked to see her old friend, but Remi dampens their reunion with a few choice words about Cash. Cash follows him out of Salt and confronts him – when is he going to accept that he and Eden are back together? Remi’s crystal clear on that answer – never.
Cash comes home and vents to Harper, who’s barely keeping it together herself – Tane is the perfect man, he’s considerate and thoughtful, but there is one key thing which he hasn’t said yet… I love you. Cash comforts her -Tane never does anything he doesn’t want to do, so she can rest assured that if he proposed, that means he’s committed. Harper is slightly buoyed, and to her pleasant surprise, Tane is more enthusiastic at the next wedding meeting. He announces that he wants to invite extra guests and has chosen his best man – Cash! Once he’s agreed though, Cash has a quick question for Tane – does he really love Harper?
Eden gives Sonny a bit of background on the Remi/Cash tension, and Sonny has no issues being candid. He bluntly tells Remi that he’s being an idiot – it’s Eden’s decision who she’s with and he doesn’t get an opinion. Cash mirrors that sentiment when he talks to Eden, and she decides to confront Remi head on – she wants to spend the rest of her life with Cash, so he needs to give him another chance. Remi doesn’t back down though – he could never forgive himself if something were to happen to Eden, so he simply can’t let himself trust Cash again. And nor should she.
