Pick of the Plots: Tuesday, April 29th
Today’s storylines from the UK and Australian soaps…
Teddy pauses work at the site while he and Nicola do a deal with Benji.
Following the negotiations, Nicola decides to sell Harry’s Barn to pay Benji, but later, Teddy finds another solution.
Meanwhile, Priya and Ravi invite Avani for a takeaway night at No.41, but Priya ends up agreeing that her friends can come over instead. Later, Amy, Denzel and Nugget are there when Joel and Tommy arrive with a bottle of vodka, and the boys start drinking. At Harry’s Barn, Priya sees red when Callum and his workmates arrive, and Ravi is forced to intervene when Priya lashes out at them.
As the evening wears on, Tommy is humiliated when the boys tease him about his lack of experience with girls with Joel giving him some troubling advice.
Elsewhere, Johnny is disappointed when he asks Felix out but is rejected, as Felix has a date lined up that night.
Also, Harry asks Kojo to put in a good word for him with Gina. Although Gina is initially unimpressed, Harry manages to get her to agree to a date.

At the surgeon’s office, Steph grows agitated by the psychological assessment for her rhinoplasty. When the surgeon asks what’s really brought her to wanting plastic surgery, she spins a false story.
Steph is relieved when the surgeon agrees to go ahead with the procedure tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Manpreet is sympathetic.
Elsewhere, Sarah offers Vanessa some encouragement; and John has another fire to put out when he sees Cain leaving a voicemail for Nate.

Leah’s late for her morning walk with Irene, which sparks friction between them – Irene seems to run a tight ship. John finds Leah while she’s unpacking the morning’s tension with Justin, and he’s determined to get insider information on why Irene is ignoring him. Leah admits she’s aware he’s in the firing line, but she has no idea why.
Aware that John’s attempts to check in with Irene are being thwarted, Dana tries to get to the bottom of why Irene has her walls up around him. When she arrives at the surf cub, John is quick to ask her how Irene is, but she’s loyal and doesn’t give away much. Later, she finds a defeated John sitting alone beneath the moonlit pines.
He expresses his confusion as to why Irene doesn’t want him to be a part of her return to normalcy, and Dana admits that’s a question she doesn’t know the answer to. At home, Dana passes on John’s love to Irene, which stirs up some emotion. Feeling for them both, Dana arranges an ambush, forcing them into the same room together, but it’s off to a rocky start. Can John and Irene get back on the same page?
Cash is not keen on the opportunity for promotion at work, even though everyone around him is pushing him to go for it. Approached by Eden at the station, he’s forced to at least talk about the option to return to his old rank. He admits the real reason he doesn’t want the job is that he doesn’t want anything to come between them again. She reminds him that she fell in love with a leader, and this helps him realise that maybe he can have it all. He later decides to apply and to get his life back on its original track. Will Cash succeed in getting his old job back?

Feeling better after the support of her friends, Sadie agrees to grab a drink with Max and Byron at The Waterhole while Taye and Holly are working. Over in the Piano Bar, Taye’s attention is caught by a glamorous woman who asks if Byron is on shift. After explaining that Byron doesn’t work there, Taye texts him — and when Byron arrives, he’s shocked to see it’s one of his former escorting clients, Lydia Hardy. Lydia tries to hire Byron again, but he tells her he’s out of the game. However, an eavesdropping Taye gets an idea.
Later, when Byron tells his friends about Lydia’s offer, they’re amused. But privately, when Byron reveals to Taye how much he used to earn as an escort, Taye is stunned. Back at the Piano Bar, Taye gives Lydia his number, claiming he’s an escort too under the alias ‘Sonny Manhaean’.
After work, Max asks if Taye has found a way to fix his money problems. Taye hints that he has — and when he gets a text from Lydia confirming a meeting, he heads off to her Airbnb. Nervous but determined, Taye arrives. Lydia, assuming he’s roleplaying, tells him to take off his shirt. Taye starts to undress, clearly way out of his comfort zone…
Meanwhile, an excited Wendy celebrates her job offer in Murrayville with Andrew, though it’s clear he has reservations. Eventually, Andrew admits he doesn’t think the job is a realistic option. Tensions rise when Wendy points out it’s his turn to make sacrifices for her. But Andrew remains firm, insisting he can’t just move whenever and wherever. Later, Andrew overhears Wendy telling Sadie and Byron about the offer and disapproves, warning her he’s unlikely to change his mind. After Andrew leaves, a defiant Wendy insists she’s not changing hers either, leaving them at a stalemate.

Rex refuses to believe Grace isn’t behind whatever happened to Lucas, despite her repeated denials.
John Paul arrives as the engagement party is in full swing. Tensions rise when Sienna asks Cleo to tone down the PDA, leaving Cleo hurt. Hoping to prove his love, John Paul unveils a new tattoo dedicated to Jez. But the joy is short-lived when disaster strikes… Myra suddenly doubles over in pain. Just as panic sets in, Ste receives a chilling call, Lucas is in the hospital.
At The Dog car park, Donny and DI Banks come face-to-face, how will the pair react to each other? Elsewhere, a desperate Ste rushes to Lucas’ side, with Sienna behind the wheel, but her vision blurs, and she realises, terrified, that she can’t feel her legs.
Jez’s world freezes when he receives a call and learns Sienna has been in a car crash after suffering temporary paralysis again. Jez, Martha and Cleo rush to the hospital.

Following the accident, Conor sits by Chloe’s hospital bedside. When her symptoms worsen, she fears the worst for her unborn baby. When the extent of her injuries become apparent, Chloe takes medical advice to have surgery to save her baby as a worried Conor watches on, supported by Sam. Later, when the doctor reveals the outcome of the surgery, Conor must find hidden strength to tell Chloe the devastating news.
At the Tall Ship, Maggie pieces together the truth about Chloe’s accident and works out she uncovered Caitlin and Seb’s affair. Confronting Caitlin, Maggie tells her daughter that if Chloe and the baby don’t pull through it will be down to her.
To Caitlin’s shame, Maggie reveals her secret affair with Seb to a stunned Scarlett just as Sam walks in and hears the revelation. Scarlett launches into a tirade while Sam goes into denial, focusing his efforts on Chloe.
A woman scorned, Scarlett announces to everyone in the pub exactly what Caitlin has been getting up to with the Spiller brothers. Also this week, Sonny struggles to deal with his part in Chloe’s accident Despite Gillian’s pleas to steer clear of alcohol, Sonny finds himself drawn to drowning his sorrows. Elsewhere, Shaw continues to pour poison in Lenny’s ear, fuelling his mistrust of Alex, Lydia and Amber.
