A look at the forthcoming storylines in EastEnders and Home and Away next week…

Harvey prepares for the Slaters camping trip, but things go from bad to worse when Jean refuses to go without Stacey, upsetting Lily in the process.

Harvey manages to convince Stacey to come, but his work is soon undone when Lily is adamant she doesn’t want Stacey there. Harvey explodes and heads to the café to seek solace with Kathy, but he receives the cold shoulder.

Suki attempts to talk to Avani about sleeping with Joel, but Avani is in no mood to talk and storms out. Suki tries to talk to Priya about Avani, but she soon covers realising Ravi is in earshot.

Later, Suki finds a quiet moment to reveal all to Priya, but Ravi returns home mid-conversations and overhears everything. Ravi heads to No.43 to berate Joel and a fight ensues between Ross and Ravi.

Harvey and Jean are in for a shock, thanks to Cindy. Kathy faces having to come clean about the affair.

EastEnders, BBC One, Monday to Thursday. Also available on the iPlayer

It’s a dramatic week as in the dry heat of Queensland country Ziggy and Mackenzie are tearing down the road. They’re being forced to drive two escaped prisoners, one of whom holds a knife to Mackenzie’s throat. Dean and Levi, having witnessed them tear off, frantically check for mobile reception, or a vehicle to get help or go after them.

Pressed for time, Dean breaks into a car and hotwires it. Levi watches on, conflicted, but jumps in with Dean, and they’re in pursuit. They deduce it’s two escaped prisoners who have taken their partners, but Dean doubles back when faced with a police blockade. Levi’s confused but Dean makes a good point – the police will be searching for two dodgy guys in a stolen car, and what are we?

Meanwhile, the pressure is on for Ziggy and Mackenzie as their captors force them to speed towards the border. Ziggy stalls, explaining she’s got morning sickness and is going to throw up. Mackenzie supports her, learning in that moment that it’s true – Ziggy is three months along with baby number two.

Later in the week Levi and Dean hound the prisoner for what his partner plans to do with Mackenzie and Ziggy – and he admits, his accomplice doesn’t plan on letting them live. They force him to guide them toward the border, and much to Levi’s dismay, force the prisoner into their car boot.

Driving on, Dean spots, his abandoned car amongst the cane fields, and they approach with caution, hoping to find their loved ones…alive. The unwitting criminal backs out of a row of sugar cane, having left a trail of petrol across the field and about to set it all ablaze.

Dean pounces, delivering a knockout headbutt. Immediately, Levi and Dean race through the sugar cane, saving Mackenzie and Ziggy from deep in the cane fields. Safely back at home, two police officers conduct a questioning and Levi insists on taking the fall. Even Dean’s mother Karen must admit – the doctor’s a bit of a surprise package.

Home and Away airs 1:45pm on Channel 5, at 6pm on 5STAR with first-look screenings of the following edition at 6:30 pm. The series also streams on 5.
