On this Day 1976: Joseph Whitaker Comprehensive School ‘Science Fair’

Bev Smith previewed the contribution to the school science fair to be held in Nottingham in July by the Joseph Whitaker Comprehensive School at Rainworth, near Mansfield.

The report features an interview with the teacher responsible for the school’s entries, Head of Technical Studies, John Twigg, about the varied entries and projects at the school including the renovation of an old Austin car, jewellery making from ordinary stones, model engines and building go-karts.

Bev also talks with some of the pupils involved on various projects.
