‘Cat Cab’ to tour UK ahead of National Cat Awards

Cats Protection is hitting the road this summer in a bold and eye-catching way to promote its National Cat Awards 2025…

The feline charity will tour a number of iconic locations across five UK cities in a purple, furry cat taxi on the following dates – London (Friday 27 June) – Cardiff (Saturday 28 June) – Birmingham (Sunday 29 June) – Manchester (Saturday 5 July) and Glasgow (Sunday 6 July).

Not only is the Cat Cab a showstopper on the outside, it’s also interactive on the inside – featuring an onboard karaoke setup where passengers can sing along while casting their vote and learning more about the charity’s work.

Lead organiser of the National Cat Awards, Jeff Knott, said: “Our teams are really excited to bring the National Cat Awards back for 2025 with abig, purple, furry bang! The awards recognise the UK’s most extraordinary cats, so we wanted to celebrate them in an extraordinary way.

“It’s something completely new for us, and we hope it will raise awareness of the awards as well as the work we do across the UK. We’d love to inspire as many votes as possible!”

This year’s competition will see 12 furry hopefuls across four categories: Incredible Cat, Senior Cat, Family Cat and Connected Cat, all competing for the prestige of being named Cats Protection National Cat of the Year 2025.
