2025 album and UK gigs for Solence

Swedish electronic metal group Solence is defined as much by their endless optimism as their boundless talent…

For “Dead_Alive”—the blazing new single from their upcoming fifth album Angels Calling, due out October 3 via Better Noise Music—they take an especially bracing lyrical turn. On the track, released today (June 27), they confront societal chaos and hold out hope by urgently singing lines like “Zombified, we need to stop the bleeding/Living like we’re dead alive.”

The music is signature Solence, they combine big pop hooks and electro savvy with the heavy yet melodic intensity of trailblazing Swedish metal into a distinctive international sound equal parts hypnotic and uplifting.

As frontman Markus Videsäter says, “‘Dead_Alive’ is probably one of the heaviest songs on Angels Calling. We really wanted to go full on with this one. The song itself is about a world on fire where instead of acting on it we all walk around like we’re ‘Dead  Alive.’ Think this is one of the most powerful choruses we’ve written to date, really excited for people to hear this!”

“Dead_Alive” is the follow-up to the album’s first single, “Where Were You..?” which was released May 13 as an instant download with pre-orders of the album HERE.

Based out of Los Angeles and originally hailing from Sweden, the group lineup consists of frontman Markus Videsäter alongside guitarist David Strääf, keyboardist Johan Swärd, and drummer David “Viking” Vikingsson. They focus all its energy on uplifting anyone in a dark state of mind to a brighter place. “Solence is all about having a good time,” Videsäter says. “Our message to our existing fans and potential new ones is that we want to bring the fun back into rock n’ roll.”
