Pick of the Plots: Tuesday January 3rd

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in River City, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Tuesday.

With Lorna away for a job interview, Greig’s left home alone with Katie and Frankie. However, it soon dawns on him that domesticity isn’t as easy as it first appears when Katie runs away. As Greig and Frankie frantically scour Shieldinch for Katie, a critical Annie questions Greig’s parenting skills and Andy saves the day.

Elsewhere, Alex and Amber keep a vigil by Lenny who’s in an induced coma. Amber’s stunned to discover Alex has secretly consolidated Murdoch enterprises. Alex assures her it’s legit but, deep down, mistrust surrounds the siblings.

With Scarlett in prison, Bob and Patrick try their best to keep the family ticking over. However, as the evidence against Scarlett stacks up, the brothers join forces to try and provide Scarlett with an alibi.

Robbie and Gary’s plans for a romantic getaway are scuppered when an unexpected text from Will with the news that Robbie might have a STI causes a divide in their relationship.

One resident is forced to do the unthinkable as the Square continues to reel from recent events.

Whitney is concerned about Lee, meanwhile the breakfast service at The Vic gets off to a prosperous start. Babe suggests putting on a Twelfth Night theme at the boozer later in the week.

Lisa discovers the caravan’s on fire and panics thinking Zak’s inside. Charity leaves Kerry uneasy when she asks if she double checked to make sure Zak wasn’t in the caravan before she did her worst. Cain arrives to see Lisa open the door to a wall of flames. Can he stop her and where is Zak?

An impressed Paddy watches Ross chat Rebecca up and decides to use the same line on Chas during their date. Chas isn’t as impressed and the date further goes tits-up when Chas’s top catches fire.

Elsewhere, Finn blames Emma for scaring Kasim off. Chas is perturbed at Robert’s apparent lack of interest in Aaron’s birthday. Meanwhile, Robert pays Rebecca a meeting and tells her all the secret meetings and sneaking around won’t happen for much longer. Pierce makes a call about engagement rings.

Joel is hassling Sienna to meet him, while Sienna asks Warren to leave Hollyoaks with her.

Diego is desperate to win Myra back. Myra guesses that Cindy is more involved with the property scam than she’s letting on and, along with Sally, uses Diego to get a confession out of her.

Elsewhere, Grace tells Liam to get out of her life for good. Marnie gives Jesse money to take Ellie out and cheer her up. However, Ellie is horrified when she misunderstands Jesse’s intentions.

Hollyoaks, Tuesday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Doctors is off air for its annual festive break.
