Pick of the Plots: Thursday April 20th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors this Thursday.

SoapWeek: EastEnders

Woody is made to feel less than welcome at The Vic by the Carter family.

Lauren is relieved to hear she has been invited to attend an interview for the job she’s interested in tomorrow causing Steven to treat her to a new outfit and a romantic meal. As Steven suggests they make the most of the evening, Lauren goes to get ready.

Elsewhere, Michelle offers advice to Louise about her broken friendship with Bex; Ben suggests that Donna moves in with him and Jay.

EastEnders, Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Rhona’s hen do is being held at the Woolpack, but Vanessa is still niggled by Pierce and texts a number on a note she saw him discard. Meanwhile, Pierce’s jealousy gets the better of him and he joins the hens at the pub, just after Nicola quashes Rhona’s doubts about the wedding. Later, Vanessa takes Pierce and Rhona by surprise when she walks into the Woolpack with a stranger.

Ronnie is taken aback by Adam’s foul mood and encourages him to open up. As Adam pushes him away Ronnie retaliates and Adam falls. Will Ronnie comfort a tearful Adam?

Elsewhere, Tracy realises it has been David and Leyla writing the rave reviews on her novel and decides to get her own back; Chrissie is shocked to find Lachlan at home and later hurt by his non-reaction to an expensive gift.

Emmerdale, Thursday at 7pm and 8pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Nick admits to Tegan that he wasn’t broken up with Holly when they slept together, leaving Tegan angry. Nick reassures Tegan that he’ll be honest with Holly today. Meanwhile, Freddie finally catches up with Lisa and tells her that he lied to the police, but they’re interrupted by DC Hammond. Later, Tegan spots Nick and Holly looking close.

Peri is furious after finding out about Leela and Zack. Peri and Yasmine get into a fight but when confronted by Neeta, Yasmine covers for Peri. However, she wants payback and tells Peri to steal Neeta’s tablet.

Elsewhere, Marnie is thrilled when Mac wants to make her power of attorney in light of his diagnosis; Neeta asks Hunter to come to the school ball meeting and he eagerly accepts.

Hollyoaks, Thursday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.

Ayesha and Rob are out searching for Karl when they hear an explosion. Rob gives chase to two masked men who have exploded a cash machine, but they outrun him. Ayesha offers to treat a woman, Rhona, who was knocked over by the explosion but she runs away. Later Rob appears at Mrs Tembe’s wanting to ask JJ a few more questions. He reveals a gas canister was left behind at the scene the fingerprints on which implicate JJ’s friend Burt. JJ claims to know nothing.

Later, Ayesha has to go through the distressing experience of identifying a body that might be Karl; she breaks down to see that it’s not him. Later, Rob and Ayesha eventually find Karl curled up, cold and in pain. Ayesha tells him he is coming back to Emma’s; no arguments.

Meanwhile Jimmi unwittingly meets Ruhma’s psychiatrist friend Megan outside a supermarket when he drops milk all over her feet. She laughs it off and gives him a bag for all of his shopping. At the Mill Mrs Tembe mentions she is meeting with a psychiatrist today to consider them working from the Mill. Jimmi is dragged into the meeting but perks up when he realises the psychiatrist is Megan. After the meeting Mrs Tembe wants to wait before confirming Megan’s positon but Jimmi overrules her.

Elsewhere, Heston helps a carer who is torn between moving in with his girlfriend and staying with his chronically ill father.
