Pick of the Plots: Monday October 16th

SoapWorld takes a look at the latest goings on in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

SoapWeek: Corrie

Summer’s down in the dumps. Simon shows her a strange cigarette he found, which Summer discreetly pockets. Later, Amy and Simon are shocked to find Summer unconscious in the ginnel. As Summer is loaded into an ambulance, Simon sheepishly shows Todd and Billy the cigarette. In the hospital, Todd and Billy bury the hatchet. Later, Billy lets rip at Peter.

In need of funds, Chesney returns to work but it’s clear he’s not well. Meanwhile, Daniel and Sinead enjoy each other’s company and it’s clear they still have feelings for one another. However when Sinead takes a call telling her Chesney’s collapsed, she hurries out leaving Daniel perplexed.

Elsewhere, Toyah and Peter are thrilled when they hear surrogate Jackie is pregnant; Jude and Mary are oblivious to Angie’s suffering; Phelan talks Andy through the details of his plan.

Coronation Street, Monday at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV, UTV and STV.


SoapWeek: EastEnders

Stacey is rushed to hospital where an obstetrician identifies the need for an emergency C-section. Martin is overwhelmed to learn he has a daughter but Stacey remains in critical condition. And soon there are complications with the baby.

Jane is annoyed to hear what happened between Ian and Bobby but her mind turns elsewhere when Max pays her a visit. As Jane tries to get the upper hand, he gives her a threat she can’t ignore. Later, Jane tells the police what Steven did, before also telling Ian the truth. However, she keeps Max’s name out of it. Jane pleads with Ian never to make her return to the Square – she wants a fresh start.

Elsewhere, Keanu is torn on whether or not to become an escort.

EastEnders, Monday at 8pm on BBC One. Repeated at 10pm on UKTV channel ‘W’.


SoapWeek: Emmerdale

Charity revels in Vanessa’s discomfort following their bedroom antics. Vanessa is relieved when Paddy agrees to talk to Charity- but will his intervention prove helpful?

Vanessa asks Daz out for a drink to prove she is straight. At the Woolpack, Charity enjoys watching Vanessa squirm, and then spills the beans leaving Vanessa mortified. Later, Rhona tries to help Vanessa but, still keen to prove a point, Vanessa sets out to proposition Daz.

Elsewhere, the conflict between Leyla and Priya continues and it all gets a bit sticky; Rebecca feels undermined.

Emmerdale, Monday at 7pm on ITV, STV and UTV.


SoapWeek: Hollyoaks

Glenn and Grace are alarmed to find the safe house empty, where’s Sienna?

Warren swears he’s not behind her disappearance. Unconvinced, Glenn is about to call the police but gets a call from Sienna reassuring him that she’s safe. However, Warren has actually trapped Sienna in a remote cottage as part of a plan to run off with their babies when they’re born. Meanwhile, Myra finds out that Warren killed Bart and Cleo has an abortion.

Elsewhere, Mandy gets a loan in her name to help Tony buy into Nightingale’s.

Hollyoaks, Monday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and a ‘first look’ at 7pm on E4.


Doctors Pick of the Plots logo

Zara has had a restless night. She’s determined to go to the hospital to see how the boy she saw being stabbed is. At the hospital, Rob tells her that Reece (the boy) was rushed to theatre with complications, however he is soon brought back to the ward.

The boy’s mother, Carlene, arrives and Zara explains that she witnessed the attack. Carlene is grateful to her for her help. Rob admits there have been no arrests yet. Carlene opens up to Zara who in return talks to her about Joe.

Doctors, Monday at 1.45pm on BBC One.
