X Games coverage returns to ESPN online
ESPNPlayer.com will deliver live and on demand coverage of the 2018 X Games Norway in the UK, and across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Once again, X Games Norway will bring together the world’s top action sports athletes and musical artists to deliver a unique and dynamic winter festival experience for the third consecutive year. In 2018, X Games Norway will combined winter and summer events, hosting Skateboard Street competitions in downtown Oslo and Ski and Snowboard Big Air competitions at Fornebu in Baerum.
The events begin tomrrow (Friday 18th May), and continue through to the evening of Sunday 20th. All the action will be available on ESPN Select – the ESPN Player channel which features live events from a wide range of sports. Events will be available live and on demand, allowing fans to watch the action at a time that suits them.
Coming off the heels of an exciting Winter Olympics, X Games Norway will feature the biggest names in Ski, Snowboard and Skateboard from around the globe. British Olympic men’s skier James Woods will be hoping to add to the gold that he won in X Games Aspen 2017 in the Ski Big Air, as well as the bronze he won at X Games Norway last year.
This year’s top snowboarders include X Games Norway 2017 Snowboard Slopestyle, Aspen 2018 Big Air and 2018 Winter Olympic Games gold medalist Anna Gasser, 15-time X Games medalist and 2018 Winter Olympic bronze Snowboard medalist Mark McMorris.
The ski side will feature defending X Games Norway Slopestyle gold medalist Johanne Killi, defending X Games Aspen Ski Slopestyle and Big Air silver medalist and Winter Olympic Ski Slopestyle gold medalist Øystein Bråten. Skateboard stars will include four-time X Games medlaist Curren Caples and two-time Skateboard Street gold medalist Pamela Rosa who earned her first gold medal at X Games Oslo 2016.
The hometown crowd will be strongly represented, with 14 Norwegian athletes including Silje Norendal, Marcus Kleveland, Ferdinand Dahl and Karsten Kleppan. Fans can watch all the X Games Norway 2018 action live and on demand on ESPN Player. The ESPN Select Monthly or Daily Pass will give viewers access to dedicated feeds across the three days of the event. ESPN Player is available on mobile, desktop and iPad.
